Background Information for Santa
Sometimes children have an expectation that Santa already knows their name – if he knows whether they are naughty or nice, it makes sense that he may know something of their hobbies or interests, too.
Seeing Santa at the mall or some other random place does not give us as many opportunities as when you have planned to meet me or Mrs. Claus at a private party, home visit or neighborhood event. This information sheet is intended to capture little details that you want Santa to know before we meet, so we can make things a little more magical for the children.
With that said, it is completely optional – we do not want you to feel uncomfortable providing any details about your children. If you would like us to prepare in advance, we are committed to learning what we can, and we may still need some cues from you when the time comes to have a conversation with your kiddos.
So please provide whatever details you like – the questions here are intended as ideas for helpful information. And feel free to skip over anything that seems irrelevant or unnecessary.
Tell Santa about the children
First, tell Santa a little about the children who will be part of the visit.
You can share as much or as little as you like.
For example, it can be helpful to know that Emma is 7 years old and is interested in soccer and drawing. Or maybe Noah is 4 and loves dinosaurs. When Santa "knows" how old the children are and what they like, it creates a magical visit in their eyes.
This is just the beginning
The Santa Briefing gives us a chance to learn a little about the people we'll be visiting before we arrive. It isn't a test, and you don't have to answer every question.
If you've shared something that you'd like to talk about—or if there's something we should know that would be easier to explain in person—we can always have a conversation before the visit.
Sometimes a quick phone call is the best way to make sure we're prepared.
And yes, that includes making sure we can actually find your house. Mrs. Claus has many wonderful qualities. Following directions is not necessarily one of them. Santa, meanwhile, generally prefers his sleigh or his Harley.
Your Information
The information you share here is provided so that Santa and Mrs. Claus can prepare for your visit. We don't need you to tell us anything you're uncomfortable sharing.
We don't use your children's information to create public content, and we don't sell or share it for advertising.
